Man Fighting For Life After Machine Gun Shooting In London, Three Others Stabbed

A man in his 20’s is fighting for his life after being shot multiple times by what is believed to be a machine gun. The shooting occurred in Brent, northwest London, at approximately 8.30 PM BST on Thursday, 31st May. Residents nearby said that they heard as many as 11 gunshots, and have been ordered to stay indoors by police.

An unnamed resident told local reporters “From what I can tell, he was sitting in his car when he got into an argument with someone who then shot at him with a machine gun [at least] 11 times,” adding “the police have told everyone to stay indoors.”

A witness has said that the victim was shot by a machine gun after he arrived home to break fast for Ramadan. She told reporters “a car pulled up alongside him while he was sitting in his car and he was shot eight times. We think it was a machine gun as it happened quickly. Someone saw him holding his neck. He’s a good lad, I just don’t understand why this has happened. He’s so polite and he’s not a horrible guy. It was a bit of a shock when I was told who it was.

No arrests have yet been made, and a spokeswoman from Scotland Yard has said “A man, believed to be aged in his 20’s, has been taken to a central London hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. A crime scene is in place.
