Laura Dern In Talks To Join McDonald’s Biopic ‘The Founder’
McDonald’s is one of the biggest brand names on the entire planet, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from thinking the world needs even more of it and that included Hollywood. You may know what the food tastes like, but now you will get to know how the global brand found its beginnings in the upcoming movie The Founder.
The movie is set to follow the business aspirations of Ray Kroc, the man who fostered the early California restaurant of Mac and Dick McDonald before he eventually bought it and turned it into one of the most popular places to eat in the world. Michael Keaton is set to star as Kroc and Saving Mr. Banks’ helmsman, John Lee Hancock, has been enlisted as the director. Recently there have been negotiations with Laura Dern, who is in talks to play Kroc’s wife, who struggles to help her husband feed his obsessions while still keeping their marriage intact. The film is set to be released on November of 2016.
