Kenyan Government Set To Blow Up Norwegian Ship Worth 23 Million Dollars

Kenya is preparing to blow up a Norwegian cargo ship that is worth over 22.77 million dollars after a large shipment of undeclared weapons and an unidentified “white powder” was found on-board the vessel. This is because Kenya follows a strict policy of destroying any ships that have been caught with drugs on their waters.

The raid was conducted on the large vessel, named Hoegh Transporter, after Kenyan authorities received a tip from American Intelligence officers. The Kenyan police conducted the search at the Mombasa port, where they found large volumes of ammunition and alleged drugs that were completely undeclared in the ship’s manifest.

The most confusing part of the raid was the discovery by Kenyan police that points to the fact that the cargo ship could have been commissioned by a UN agency. Officials are looking into this matter and are trying to get to the bottom of the scandal.

After the conclusion of all investigations, the Kenyan officials could blow up the Norwegian ship as their law demands the destruction of all vehicles found carrying drugs. The country is actually facing a severe economic crisis, and confiscating and adding a giant, functioning cargo ship to their naval services could do them more good than simply destroying it up.
