Indian Girl Born With Trunk Is Worshiped As Hindu God

An Indian girl is being worshiped like a God after she was born with a facial deformity resembling the trunk of Lord Ganesha, Mirror reported. Villagers near Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, are gathering to get a glimpse of her believing that she is an incarnation of god Ganesha. Ganesha is one of the most worshiped Hindu deities. The baby girl is the fourth child in the family and is in a healthy condition.

However, doctors said that the girl’s condition may be a genetic mutation. They will examine the baby girl to determine the extent of her condition and whether surgery is necessary. Rajani, the little girl’s aunt, said that people are making offerings to the little girl like they would in front of a God. The girl’s facial lump is between her eyes and seems to have divided her nose into two when she was still inside her mother’s womb. According to doctors, the condition could be a genetic mutation caused by increased pollution and poor nutrition.
