Hulu Scores Exclusive Rights To Fear The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is one of the most popular shows airing right now, so it’s no surprise that it’s getting a spinoff series in Fear The Walking Dead. Meanwhile, Hulu is one of the most popular streaming services in the online space, and as of late can boast about having roughly nine million paying customers. Both of them are gearing up to get the most out of audiences, so it’s only natural that their synchronization leads to cooperation. As such, Hulu has gained exclusive rights to stream AMC’s scripted series — and that includes the upcoming Fear The Walking Dead.

That’s in addition to several other channels partnering with Hulu, such as IFC and Sundance TV — which is to be expected, since those channels are under the AMC umbrella. Still, an important takeaway from this news is that those who stick with Hulu will be able to watch Fear The Walking Dead before the network premiere. For hardcore fans, that could be a major draw for the service.

It’s safe to assume that The Walking Dead doesn’t need more attention, but it can still enjoy the benefits from Hulu regardless. The same thing happened with Breaking Bad, so even if AMC’s zombie-fest is already popular, more exposure means more happy fans. In a lot of ways, that’s the best anyone could hope or ask for.
