This Gritty Reboot Of The Power Rangers Is Causing Controversy

Adi Shankar has recently released an awesome short film based on the Power Ranger franchise. This isn’t the Power Rangers that you remember from your childhood. The video features blood, gore, nudity, explicit language, and more violence than all the Power Ranger episodes combined.

This gritty reboot may be based on the popular kids franchise, but this video is definitely not for kids. Fans of the series should keep their eyes and ears peeled for little easter eggs that are scattered throughout the video. Shankar previously produced the films Dredd and The Grey, and has been known for his short films that provide a new take on popular franchises.

This new short is 14-minutes long and stars James Van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff. The video was recently taken down from the internet due to copyright issues, but the creator was able to get it back online. Thank goodness, because this video is awesome.
