Family Returns To Find Home Destroyed After Renting It In Airbnb By Drug-Fueled Orgy
A Canadian couple got the shock of their lives upon returning to their Calgary apartment after renting it via Airbnb. They found their family home completely trashed by their guests. Mark and Star King thought they were renting their home to 4 adults coming in town for a wedding. In fact, more than 100 people came in their residence for the weekend to engage in a drug-fueled orgy–including ecstasy, marijuana and cocaine.
Local police received plenty of complaints concerning the noise level in the apartment. Neighbors grew increasingly concerned and the police came, eventually shutting the party by Monday. When the Kings returned to their home, they kicked out 15 to 20 more people out of their residence. Most of the people there were still passed out.
The apartment was in a horrific state when they came in, trash everywhere, bodily fluids on the floor, semen, used condoms, underwear and broken glass everywhere. Damage cost estimates around $62,000.
Thankfully, Airbnb is reported to reimburse the Kings for damages under their host protection insurance. The insurance protects hosts up to $1 million dollars in damages. Airbnb promised that their team is already working quickly to make things right, and has banned the guests from Airbnb. Their team is in full assistance with law reinforcement to the investigation of the incident.
