Channing Tatum Set To Star In A Brand New Ghostbusters Film

It looks like Sony has more plans for the Ghostbusters franchise than the Paul Feig film. Currently, Feig is directing an all-female reboot that is supposed to kick start the new Ghostbusters universe. A new announcement has revealed that a new film is in the works, and it will be led by none other than Channing Tatum.

Sony has created a new department called ‘Ghost Corps’, and they will be responsible for handling all facets of the franchise. Dan Akroyd and Ivan Reitman are confirmed to be the leads of this new team, and their top priority is creating a traditional sequel.

Feig’s film will still exist in the same universe as this new one, as Sony is looking to capitalize on the shared universe trend in Hollywood. The franchise will branch out beyond the big screen, with multiple plans in the works to expand the Ghostbusters world.

Drew Pearce is rumored to be writing the script, and the infamous Russo Brothers have been confirmed as the directors.
