Burger King And McDonald’s Could Be Teaming Up To Create The Most Amazing Burger In History

Burger King is hoping to bring about peace and kindness between two notable fast-food franchises – including themselves. The burger chain sent a letter to their rival, McDonald’s, hoping to end the struggle and create a ‘McWhopper’ in celebration for peace and charity.

The idea was that for a single day both companies would be staffed by their competitors and sell a burger called the McWhopper, a burger that combines the Big Mac and the Whopper, the best-selling burgers from both respective joints.

All sales of the burger would be donated directly to Peace One Day, a non-profit organization hoping to raise awareness for the International Day of Peace, which the United Nations General Assembly created in 1981. September 21 is the day the United Nations decided to celebrate world peace.

Burger King proposed opening a pop-up shop in the parking lot between a McDonald’s and a Burger King in Atlanta. McDonald’s has said they will be in touch with Burger King over the idea, but they didn’t accept the proposal fully.
