Archaeologists Find 250-Year-Old Sex Toy In Ancient Toilet

After 250 years in a toilet, archaeologists in the Baltic city of Gdańsk found a sex toy and it happened to be in excellent condition. In a press release from the Regional Office for the Protection of Monuments in Gdansk, they stated it was “large, thick, made of leather filled with bristles, and has a wooden tip” and has now been taken away for “maintenance”.

It appears that the sex toy was dropped in the toilet and was found when archaeologists were researching the site of an 18th century latrine. They also found wooden swords, fragments of pottery and jewelry — leading them to believe it was the site of an old fencing school.

Marcin Tymiński from the Regional Office for the Protection of Monuments said, “It was certainly expensive. Cleaning revealed it was made of high quality leather.”

We aren’t sure what maintenance needs to be done on the sex toy, but it is crazy to think it survived 250 years and came out in excellent condition.
