Jennifer Lopez Announces Plans For Las Vegas Residency
Since American Idol is coming to an end next season, Idol judge Jennifer Lopez has to find other work to do and it looks like she found her next gig! During the American Idol finale this week, Lopez announced that she would be taking her show to Las Vegas and taking residency at Planet Hollywood’s Axis Theater.
During the finale, Lopez said, “The show is going to be a multifaceted, high-energy ‘Jenny from the Block’ party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love.” The first show will take place on January 20th, 2016, and will be held in the same spot Britney Spears performs her “Piece of Me” show.
It looks like Lopez is very pumped about this new show, as she went to Twitter after the big announcement: “So excited!!! This is going to be the show I’ve always dreamed of creating. Tickets on sale Sat, May 16. #JLoVegas”
That is right, tickets go on sale May 16th! Right now, there are 20 shows scheduled in January, February, May and June. We are sure they will sellout pretty fast and more shows will be added.
