Robber ‘Cries For Daddy’ Following Mistaken Mugging

While walking the streets of Acailandia, Brazil, one man could be heard screaming: “Daddy, daddy, call the police, daddy. Help Jesus. I swear, it was the first time I’ve done this. Help, Lord, somebody help me. Where’s my mum?” These were, however, not the cries of help from someone being mugged, but were instead the calls from the mugger himself.

After cornering two women, Wesley Sousa de Araujo, demanded their mobile phones. However, he didn’t consider the fact that one of them was a professional MMA fighter. The fighter, Monique Bastos, immediately sized up her attack and performed her well-known jiu-jitsu – she is a blue belt currently – on the unsuspecting man. The 23-year-old immediately brought Araujo to the ground with a choke hold using her legs. The would-be mugger then proceeded to cry for help.

Onlookers watched the entire event unfold, recording the incident, and calling for the police. The police soon arrived, hauling the boy off.
