Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder And Twilight’s Nikki Reed Tie The Knot
Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are officially married. The Twilight actress married a fellow vampire star on Sunday in Malibu, California. In the photos from the wedding ceremony, published by People Magazine, the couple can be seen staring into the horizon, holding each other close. Reed wore a fishtail gown with lace sleeves by an unknown designer and the groom looked dashing in a white suit.
“Most beautiful morning ever,” Somerhalder Tweeted on the couple’s wedding day. The ceremony came after less than a year after the couple was first spotted together in July. The passion was, however, running high ever since and the couple got engaged in January, not long after they started dating. “What’s actually I think nurtured this long friendship that we’ve had is that we are passionate about similar things,” Reed confessed in an interview. She also mentioned how she tries to think of ways to make the world a better place together with her husband: “We do wake up in the morning and talk about those things.” Proving that it’s not just a fling, Somerhalder’s costar Kate Graham recently told People Magazine how the couple are perfect for each other. “I haven’t met two people that were more of soul mates than those guys,” she says. “They literally are perfect – from their Humane Society work together to them wanting to make the world a better place,” Graham added. “I mean, it’s really exciting when you see two people come together that are amazing.” The marriage is a first for Somerhalder and a second for his now-wife, who split from musician Paul McDonald in 2014.
