‘The Walking Dead’ Campanion Show Finally Gets Official Name

The companion show to The Walking Dead finally has an official title as we draw ever closer to its premiere. The new show is called Fear the Walking Dead and will be set on the West coast (predominantly Los Angeles), as opposed to the East Coast. Fans of the show have known for quite some time that the show was coming, but they didn’t know what to call it until this weekend. Series creator Robert Kirkman took to Twitter to let everyone know the news.

Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey are set to star in Fear The Walking Dead. The series is going to be one that will start off as a kind of prequel to the hit AMC series, as the events will show a little more on how the zombie apocalypse first started. That is an issue the original series has never really covered, partly because that is how the comic book the show is based on covered the issue.

The same production team from the original series will be helming Fear. Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert are all coming aboard and Dave Erickson has been named the show runnner.
