The Queen Trolled Trump With A Brooch During His Visit
In what might be one of the most passive-aggressive ways at sticking it to Donald Trump, Queen Elizabeth II wore a brooch during Trump’s visit that was gifted to the Queen by President Obama and the former first lady, Michelle.
The Obamas gave the Queen the 14-karat yellow gold brooch during their 2011 visit, and seems to be a rather subtle jab at the current president of the United States. Trump was also greeted with hundreds of thousands of protesters, including a giant baby trump balloon that floated over London.
The Queen met with Trump and Melania on Friday at Windsor Castle, and controversy struck soon after. Trump was caught on video walking in front of the Queen, and while this may not breach protocol, it is seen by many as a massive sign of disrespect. Reports also stated that Prince William and Charles refused to meet with Trump.
