‘Star Wars’ Lovable Droid R2-D2 Finds Love In Short Film

We’ll have to wait until next year to see the newest Star Wars feature film, but there’s a new short to keep us sated until then. The short, starring everyone’s favorite little droid, R2-D2, shows the robot traversing the city in an attempt to find his “Mrs. Right”. Artoo in Love was a three minute film that was put together by an Autodesk worker who got a little help from some Lucasfilm employees.

The short was first debuted at the Sonoma Film Festival and it’s creators say people have been genuinely touched by R2’s genuine travails in the film. Check of R2’s travels around a city, looking for his one true love.
