Sophie Turner Loved Sansa Stark’s Disturbing ‘Game of Thrones’ Scene

Sophie Turner has made an art out of playing the victim as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones. Perhaps that’s why the actress is taking a scene that depicts her being forcibly raped better than most of the people who watched it. Turner recently talked to Time Magazine about the scene and, while she admitted that it was a “horrible” scene, she also revealed that she secretly loved it. She was asked specifically about the scene in the interview and she responded in a way that likely had fans of Sansa and Sophie a bit surprised.

When I read that scene, I kinda loved it. I love the way Ramsay had Theon watching. It was all so messed up. It’s also so daunting for me to do it. I’ve been making [producer Bryan Cogman] feel so bad for writing that scene: “I can’t believe you’re doing this to me!” But I secretly loved it.” Turner said. While the actress talked about a number of other aspects of the latest episode of Game of Thrones, it’s a safe bet most people will simply be paying attention to the fact that the actress, who was in the middle of the most controversial scene, was perfectly okay with it being in the show.
