Racist Woman Gets Owned After Harassing A Muslim Family

A young lady named Stacey Eden, 23, put to shame a racist elderly woman after she began harassing a Muslim family while riding on a subway train near them in Australia. In the video, the elderly woman starts off by asking a ridiculous question to the Muslim woman sitting opposite of her, which led to Eden intervening to shut her down: “Why do you wear it [hijab] for a man who married a six-year-old girl?”

In defense of the Muslim woman, Eden responded by saying, “She wears it for herself, okay? She wears it because she wants to be modest with her body, not because of people like you are going to sit there and disrespect her.” Unfortunately, the elderly woman continued her verbal abuse by saying, “Your kids behead people in Syria. […] Read the newspapers, 148 people, Christians murdered in Kenya. They’re killing each other in Syria.“

Eden was the one filming the incident and said the unsettling scene of harassment lasted 10 minutes before she started filming. The family enduring the disrespect kept quiet through the situation and chose to ignore it as much as they could manage. Eden later shared her video on her Facebook page, and it got hundreds of views. She is now considered a social justice hero for her kind act.
