Octopus Attempts To Escape His Tank At Aquarium

Uncategorized

A giant octopus, who is housed in the Seattle Aquarium, recently took exception to his confinement and attempted to climb free of his tank. This moment, caught on video by visitors, shows the cephalopod almost making it over the edge of his container — much to the terror of the children around him.

It has been stated by the aquarium officials that the octopus, who is aptly named ‘Inky’, wasn’t actually trying to make an unsubtle break from his confines, rather he is a new exhibit and was merely exploring his surroundings. Whether Inky believes this to be true is another matter.

Don’t worry if you feel sorry for Inky: he will be released back into the wild next year as part of an ongoing education and conservation program for the species.
