Mel Gibson Is Taking Another Shot At Hollywood
It looks like Mel Gibson is taking another shot at his acting career. With some tough years under his belt, the aging actor has a lot of work to do. His new film, Blood Father, is his most recent attempt to appeal to a larger audience.
The film will be directed by Jean-Francois Richet, and stars Gibson as the lead character. The plot for the film is very reminiscent of the Taken series. Scripted by The Town‘s Peter Craig, the thriller is about an ex-con who reunites with his estranged wayward 16-year old daughter to protect her from drug dealers that are trying to kill her.
A photo was released that gives audiences their first look at the Mel Gibson character. Could this be Gibson’s return to form? This might be the film that puts his career back on track. No release date has been set, but it’s expected to come out this year.
