Man Gets A Hidden Surprise In His Cereal Box

22-year-old Jarred Smith, who resides in Davidson, NSW, was preparing lunch when he found a huge diamond python coiled up in his cereal box, Daily Telegraph reported. It is not uncommon to find snakes in laundry baskets or residential pools. But finding a snake in a cereal box was super weird, Mr. Smith, said. Luckily, Smith’s father, Norris, was at home at the time.

The pair contacted a wildlife rescue service and asked for help. Soon the NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service (WIRES) arrived at their house and took away the snake. They later released the diamond python back in its natural bushland habitat.

The python was over 2m long and I couldn’t believe it was jammed into this small cereal box,” Chris McGreal, a member of WIRES, said. He added, “When I got there I actually had to tear the box to get it out, that’s how tightly squeezed in it was. It’s likely it was hiding in there to feel secure.

Mr McGreal said that diamond pythons do not harm humans unless provoked.
