LadBaby Beats Prince William And Wins Celebrity Dad Of The Year
YouTube prankster Mark Hoyle, better known as LadBaby, has beaten numerous famous fathers such as Prince William, Simon Cowell, One Direction’s Liam Payne, and many others. The 31-year-old father of two is from West Bridgford, Nottingham in north England, and has a YouTube comedy channel with his wife where they joke about being first-time parents.
Mark and Roxanne are parents to two-year-old Pheonix and they welcomed a new baby boy just two weeks ago. The award was given to the Hoyles by Clas Ohlson, who said on his social media page; “YES MATE!! The social media sensation has beaten boxers, football legends and even Royalty to be named Celebrity Dad of the Year.”
Mark had previously said that it would be “a miracle” to win the prize, so it looks like a miracle happened. “Shocked is an understatement,” he said in a statement, adding “full credit to my awesome army of fans and followers who all made it their mission to help me take home the award.” Mark jokingly said “If Anthony Joshua, Simon Cowell or Prince William want to pop round to my house and see some of my dad hacks in action I’d be happy to stick on the kettle.”
Mark had said that because it was so unlikely that he would win, he would get a tattoo to mark the occasion. “I’m a man of my word and the tattoo will still be happening,” he said. He isn’t too sure on when he’ll be getting the tattoo, or who will be doing it – he’s looking for a tattooist “that’s up for the challenge.”
