Elderly Man Calls 911 To Get Groceries And You Won’t Believe What Happens Next

After undergoing months of treatment for cancer at hospital, 81-year-old Clarence Blackmon finally got to go home. When he arrived, however, he found his refrigerator empty and he had no way to go to the store to buy food. Hungry and desperate, he called 911 to ask if anyone could go to the store for him.

The operator who took his call, Marilyn Hinson, knew what it was like to be hungry. She had lived with an empty refrigerator with no way to fill it. With her supervisor’s permission, she went to the store and with the help of some police officers, delivered food to the hungry elderly man. Before she left, she made him some sandwiches. He was so grateful, he called the ham sandwich a “feast.”

Soon, Blackmon will have a home heath nurse visiting him twice a week, but in the meantime he has the support of his new friend, Hinson.
