Bristol Palin’s Wedding To Dakota Meyer Called Off
Bristol Palin’s marriage to war veteran Dakota Meyer has officially been called off, according to her mother, Sarah Palin. According to the Huffington Post, the former vice presidential candidate announced on her Facebook page that, while the wedding for her daughter was no longer being held, she was still encouraging people to come down to Kentucky to celebrate “life in general.“
“Family members and close friends know they are welcome to share a great bar-b-que on the farm that day,” Palin wrote. “All involved, especially Dakota, Bristol and Tripp, and their parents and grandparents, thank supporters for the love they’ve expressed.“
There had been rumors floating around Bristol Palin for the last few weeks that the wedding was in jeopardy because Dakota Meyer had a “secret wife.” While the family claims that Meyer had actually gotten divorced several years ago, they wouldn’t comment on the reasons for the cancellation of the wedding. The Palins simply issued another statement asking the public to give them their privacy during this time.
