2CELLOS Release Spectacular New Music Video

Uncategorized

2CELLOS, the world’s most musically dynamic instrumental duo released a new music video for their rendition of Michael Jackson’s They Don’t Care About Us. The music video features sci-fi surroundings and war times produced so well it looks like The Hunger Games or Divergent movie. Luka and Stjepan, two young cello artists behind the name 2CELLOS, created a cinematic video filled with drama, destruction, fire and bombings in order to carry on a message: War is pointless. The video leaves you thinking about being a pawn in the war led by much more powerful executers, while you’re the one left suffering. The video’s first scene features the duo dressed in opposing soldiers’ uniforms making them look like pawns in a chess game, and in the war as well. The cello artists represent individuals helpless against the elite.

The music video is announcing 2Cellos’ new album Celloverse (Portrait/Sony) which is available now. It was produced by Sulic and Hauser and features the duo’s hit version of Thunderstruck by AC/DC which has 38 million views on YouTube. The album includes the cello duo’s take on Wake Me Up by Avici, Mumford & Sons’ I Will Wait and Live and Die by Paul McCartney. 2CELLOS are the first instrumentalists to be featured on hit show Glee. They were also guests on the Today Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Tonight Show.
