$10,000 Package Of Marijuana Falls Out Of The Sky Into Arizona House

A bundle of marijuana with a street value of $10,000 came crashing through the roof of an Arizona family’s carport early September 8th. It landed on top of the doghouse, but thankfully the dog, Hulk, was out roaming about and wasn’t hurt.

Maya Donnelly lives in Nogales, near the Mexican border. She heard a loud noise when the package hit her house, but thought it might be just thunder. Later, she looked in her carport and was shocked to see the 26-lb package wrapped in plastic and tape. She called the police, who took the bundle and are investigating.

The police believe that it was mistakenly dropped by either a manned light aircraft or an unmanned drone. They said the weed was no doubt part of a larger delivery and was dropped too early by mistake. The investigators said that when drugs are smuggled this way, the plane usually drops the cargo in a remote area and heads right back to Mexico. Flights like this are usually made at night, to avoid being seen.
