Teabag Turns An Ordinary Lager Into A Craft Beer

Hop Theory, an American company, has designed a teabag that can turn an ordinary lager into a craft beer, Mirror reported. The beer-bag functions in the same way as fruit teas; however, instead of infusing the bag in hot water the drinker swirls it into a pint. The sachet contains a mixture of natural spices, fruit peels and hops and promises to turn light beer into craft beer after only two minutes of steeping.

Each 5g sachet can be used in up to four beers. The first infusion will take two to four minutes; however, once the bag is wet, any more uses will take 30 seconds to transfuse. Hop Theory said that the bags allow users to restrict their intake of calories, as regular lager is generally much less calorific than craft brews. Each infusion adds just five additional calories to a pint of Carling.

The first blend is called Relativity and it contains ground coriander seeds, Cascade hops and dried and ground orange peel. The company said that they will produce another four flavors – peach, double IPA , pumpkin and raspberry
