Verizon Hands Out $2 Million Cell Phone Bill To Couple
There are plenty of mistakes with cell phone bills these days, but those are most likely just a couple of dollars here and there. Unfortunately, one couple from Damascus, Oregon, acquired a $2 million bill on their phone plan within the span of just one month. Ken Slusher and his girlfriend are dealing with this exact problem right now. Slusher said: “Yeah, it’s been very stressful to say the least.”
Earlier this week, Slusher sent over a down payment for a new house he and his girlfriend intend to purchase. However, the bill from Verizon Wireless appeared, too. Slusher called Verizon to discover his account balance, with a voice recording saying: “Your total amount due is $2,156,593.64.“
His first bill was supposed to be around $120. Instead, the bill was $698, plus showed a previous missed balance of $451.
