Three Found Dead On Train Tracks In South London

Three people have been killed after being struck by a train at the Loughborough Junction in south London earlier this morning. At approximately 7.30 am local time, British Transport Police received a report that there were multiple bodies on the tracks.

The three individuals were declared dead at the scene by the London Ambulance Service, whilst officials are currently working to identify the victims. It is currently unsure how the three people managed to get on the tracks, or what they were doing on the tracks in the first place. Detective Superintendent Gary Richardson from British Transport Police has said:

My team are now working hard to understand what happened and how these three people came to lose their life on the railway. My thoughts are with the family and friends of these three people.”

“At this time, we are treating their death as unexplained as we make a number of immediate enquiries. I would ask anyone who was near to Loughborough Junction this morning, and saw something which they think might be relevant, please contact us as soon as possible.”

Train services are currently delayed while an investigation is underway.
