Tesla Share Prices Fall After Elon Musk Calls British Diver A Pedophile


Tesla’s stock fell on Monday after Elon Musk and British diver Vernon Unsworth exchanged words on Twitter regarding the Thai boys trapped in a cave. Unsworth called the submarine Elon’s team created to assist in the rescue of the soccer team a “PR stunt.”

In an interview with CNN, Unsworth said “He [Musk] can stick his submarine where it hurts. It just had absolutely no chance of working. He had no conception of what the cave passage was like.” In response to this, Musk said in a Tweet that has since been deleted “Sorry pedo guy, you really asked for it.

When questioned about what Musk said, Unsworth said “I believe he’s called me a pedophile. I think people realize what sort of guy [Musk] is.” Unsworth was also asked if he would be pursuing legal action against Musk, and he responded with “yes, it’s not finished.

Based on what Musk said in the Tweet, the share price of Tesla fell more than 3 percent on Monday,
