Taylor Swift Is A Life Saver

Two Taylor Swift fans are now indebted to the pop star for saving their lives following a car crash earlier this month. Or more precisely, they owe their rescue to Swift’s promotional team who came up with a unique concert gimmick.

Caroline Dazzo and a friend attended the Baton Rouge concert of Swift’s current 1989 Tour, and her sister Elizabeth was driving them home afterwards. Unfortunately, Elizabeth fell asleep at the wheel – the car veered off the road, and the trio were trapped in the crashed car with the driver unconscious. Rescue was looking impossible, as two of their cell phones weren’t working and the third was missing, and passing cars weren’t able to see them from the road. It was a terrifiying ordeal for the women. “You could smell the gas and smoke. I was just thinking we need to get out of this car,” Caroline told WBRZ.

Fortunately, the girls received a special treat at the Taylor Swift concert: light up bracelets that were intended to sync and flash to the music. The quick thinking women turned the bracelets on to use as emergency flares, and were finally spotted by a passing motorist. The motorist and her partner helped the women from the wreckage and called emergency services. The women were rushed to hospital, and Caroline is due to be released soon.

On hearing that she was a life saver, Taylor Swift expressed her joy via Twitter: “This is unreal. I’m so happy they’re ok.”
