Super Secret ‘Star Wars’ Cameo Is Just A Rumor

So many people love Star Wars so much that it was likely impossible for the incredibly friendly director, J.J. Abrams, to deny interested parties juicy little cameos in the seminal film for the new Star Wars trilogy, The Force Awakens. A number of actors have been rumored to be taking part in the sci-fi action thrill ride such as Tom Cruise and Benedict Cumberbatch, but Abrams’ friend and collaborator, Star Trek actor Simon Pegg, accidentally spilled the beans as to a famous cameo that did already happen… or did he?

Pegg, being not only a great friend to Abrams but also a Star Wars super fan, was invited onto the set of The Force Awakens to take part in the experience. As such it was not really his place to confirm or deny who is or isn’t sneaking their way into the movie, but that didn’t stop his from divulging one such appearance. He told The Independent that James Bond himself Daniel Craig makes a cameo in the film as a Stormtrooper. Everyone flew into a tizzy – except that Pegg forgot to mention that it was just a rumor he read, rather than something he actually witnessed. Other than the official cast, there is no word on who will be making cameos in the film which is due in theaters Christmas of this year.
