Pregnant 14-Year-Old Buried Alive By Her Boyfriend
Chiara Paez, a 14-year-old from Rufino, Argentina, went missing at the start of May in her home city, according to Buzzfeed. A few days ago, the young girl’s body was found beaten under a patio in her boyfriend’s backyard. Paez was eight weeks pregnant and according to reports, she was buried alive. Paez’ boyfriend, Manuel Mansilla, confessed to murdering his girlfriend. Traces of drugs which are usually used in abortions were found in her body and Paez is now also facing charges of forced abortion.
Chiara Paez was close to her family, regularly shared photos of her life on social media accounts and was a popular girl at school. She was dating Mansilla for a few months before the tragedy happened. Reports suggest Mansilla killed his girlfriend after an argument over the pregnancy, but there are several doubts about whether Mansilla killed her alone. “She is a big girl, physically, a height of 1.70m (5’6) and weighing 70kg (150 lbs.),” Chiara’s father told the media. “It’s impossible that he [Manuel] had done this alone.” Chiara’s passing away devastated the whole of Argentina, where protesters took part in a demonstration against femicide and violence against women, reports Yahoo!.
