New Game Of Thrones Season To Spoil Upcoming Books

Devout readers of the original Game Of Thrones book series will need to exercise great patience with the upcoming release of Season five of the hit HBO series. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff confirmed that the TV series will in fact spoil the conclusion of the ongoing “A Song Of Fire And Ice” book series, beating author George R. R. Martin to the presses with the highly-acclaimed television series.

“Luckily, we’ve been talking about this with George for a long time, ever since we saw this could happen, and we know where things are heading. And so we’ll eventually, basically, meet up at pretty much the same place where George is going; there might be a few deviations along the route, but we’re heading towards the same destination“, said Beinoff, adding “I kind of wish that there were some things we didn’t have to spoil, but we’re kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The show must go on… and that’s what we’re going to do.

The series, about to launch its fifth season, has featured some serious plot deviations from its source material in past seasons, possibly saving some nuggets of sanctity for the traditional readers of the popular book series. Benioff went on to confirm that while there will be some major spoilers for readers, they will still have a unique experience as they make their way through to the conclusion of “The Song Of Fire And Ice” book series.

Season five of Game Of Thrones airs on HBO starting April 12th.
