New Ass-Kicking Images Arrive for ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’
There is nary a woman out there who can’t be swayed in some way by the soulful and human love story of Lizzie Bennett and Mr. Darcy in the Jane Austen novel Pride and Prejudice. And yet, while the story is still adored by millions, the modern woman needs a little something extra to hold her interest… cue the story of Lizzie and Mr. Darcy, but set in a 19th century England filled with zombies.
In 2009, Seth Grahame-Smith released his reimagining of the classic novel to great acclaim, keeping the original text as the base and adding or revising the zombie aspects where appropriate. And now, after years in development hell, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is coming to a theater near you. While the film doesn’t star Natalie Portman as is was originally supposed to, the newest stills from the upcoming film will certainly inspire a great deal of excitement in both Austen fans and horror fans and everyone in between. The film, starring Cinderella‘s Lily James as Elizabeth Bennett, is due out on February 5th of next year.
