Morgan Freemans Pushes For Legalization Of Marijuana

Actor Morgan Freeman has revealed that he believes that marijuana should be legalized across all states, not just the few that have already decriminalized its use. Weighing in on the debate, the 77-year-old said that politicians should, “legalize it across the board.”

Freeman, who has starred in films such as The Shawshank Redemption, Bruce Almighty and Million Dollar Baby, has used the drug since a car accident in 2008. The accident caused serious damage to his left arm, shattering his shoulder and leaving him in constant pain. He explained how marijuana is the only thing that can consistently help the pain after he was introduced to its medicinal uses by his first wife.

Marijuana has many useful uses. I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana. They’re talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they’ve discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life.” Freeman then went on to state how he takes marijuana and how now people are starting to realize that the drug has a number of advantages over alcohol.

How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it. Now, the thrust is understanding that alcohol has no real medicinal use. Maybe if you have one drink it’ll quiet you down, but two or three and you’re f**cked.
