High School Graduation Turns Into A ‘Shake It Off’ Flash Mob

Uncategorized

The recent graduation at Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, turned into something you’d only see on movies. During the valedictorian speech, Colin Yost told the graduating seniors that they shouldn’t worry about their new venture to college and if they’re feeling nervous, “all you have to do is shake it off”. Yost then proceeded to lead them into a choreographed flash mob while dancing to Taylor Swift’s hit single, ‘Shake It Off’.

The 230 Portsmouth High School Seniors performed their choreographed routine in the middle of the school’s gymnasium all while being cheered on by family and friends in the audience. The students worked on the flash mob for days prior to their graduation. Colin Yost and some of his friends made the instructional flash mob video and shared it amongst the senior class. They had help from school administrators to practice the dance during graduation rehearsals.

It’s safe to say that the flash mob choreography is definitely a great way to end your high school career with a bang and embark on a new journey in life.
