Bristol Palin Engaged To Medal of Honor Recipient; Will This One Last?
It looks like former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is trying to work her way back into the spotlight, again under the shadows of her daughter Bristol Palin, who got engaged over the weekend! Yes, Bristol Palin is engaged for the third time, this time to Sgt. Dakota Meyer.
This all took place on Saturday night and it looks like everyone is happy with the news, as Bristol wrote on her blog: “Last night, Sgt Dakota Meyer proposed and I said yes!” As far as having the future mother-in-law’s approval, it looks like Dakota has that. Sarah wrote on her Facebook page: “our families couldn’t be happier for Bristol and Dakota!”
Apparently going to social media is the thing to do after getting engaged, as Dakota went to his Instagram account and said: “I’m definitely the luckiest guy ever to be able to spend the rest of my life with @bsmp2 #shesaidyes”
It appears that Bristol might have landed a very honorable man, as he was awarded a Medal of Honor by President Barack Obama in 2011 for his heroism while serving in Afghanistan. According to Dakota’s website, they were attacked by enemy fire in 2009 and Dakota went on to save 36 members of his training team!
Bristol Palin has appeared on Dancing with the Stars and had her own show, Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp. She was previously engaged to Levi Johnston, the father of her son Tripp, for one year before they called it off in March 2009. The couple reunited in July 2010 and were engaged again, but they called it off three weeks later.
