Adrienne Bailon Pays Homage To The Late Selena Quintanilla-Perez

March 31st, 2015 marked the 20th anniversary of Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla-Perez’s death. Selena was killed at the age of 23 by the president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldívar. Fans all across the world continue celebrate the life of the fallen singer to show how much they appreciated her talents, accomplishments and her beauty. One fan in particular credits Selena Quintanilla-Perez for being the reason she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Actress, singer and television host, Adrienne Bailon paid homage to Selena on The Real by singing one of Selena’s songs, ‘I Could Fall in Love’. What made the tribute even more special was the fact that Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, was in the audience to cheer Adrienne on. Adrienne Bailon’s tribute to Selena was her first performance in over six years after she revealed that she faced insecurities about the way her voice sounds compared to other singers. Bailon stated that it was an honor to pay homage to someone she looked up to at a young age and be able to return to the stage to perform one of her songs. If Selena were alive today, she would be proud.
