61-Year-Old Women Claimed She’d Stab Brother Over Eaten BBQ Ribs

Austin police recently scooped up 61-year-old Ethel Jean Banks on a felony assault charge. The aging woman had threatened to stab her brother who had eaten her barbecue ribs. Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, police spoke to her brother, Melvin Magee, who told the officers his sister, Banks, had grown upset after he ate her ribs.

Magee said he had no idea the ribs had belonged to her, but she did not care. Banks ended up pushing the man before threatening to stab him. Magee, of course, pushed the woman back, causing her to fall to the ground. Banks stood up, grabbing hold of a 10-inch butcher knife and brandished it over her brother’s head, claiming, “I’m going to kill you.

Magee was able to make it out of the house, and then proceeded to call police form a neighbor’s home. The police soon arrived and took Banks away.
