This Company Will Turn Your Dead Loved Ones Into A Perfume

Whether we know it or not, our sense of smell is the number one thing that triggers memories and reminds of certain people and things. Because of that, French entrepreneur Katia Apaletegui has come up with an idea of creating a perfume that smells like your dead loved ones.

As creepy as it sounds, it is actually a very good idea and can help with the grieving process for people. For this perfume, you would gather up some belongings of your loved one, like clothes or pillowcases, and they get sent to a chemist at the Universite du Havre. They will then be ran through a process that isolates the scent particles that came from this person.

From there, those particles will be made into a perfume and the buyer can use them however they want. The cost for this new process: about $600! The company is still in the building stages, but Apaletegui plans on launching in September with the help of her son, who is currently in business school.
