This Woman Chugged An Entire Bottle Of Cognac Before Flight
There aren’t many reasons that a person would down an entire $200 bottle of Cognac. Among that list of reasons, “to keep it from airport security” probably wasn’t originally listed.
A Chinese woman, known only as “Miss Zhao” did just that when she was stopped a security checkpoint in the Beijing airport. She was trying to bring an entire bottle of Rémy Martin XO Excellence along in her carry-on luggage. While it isn’t legal to bring this alcohol on board a flight in your carry-on luggage, she easily could have checked it into her baggage, paid to have it shipped home to her, or given it to one of her friends or family seeing her off at the airport.
However, Miss Zhao is a different breed than most. She decided that instead of letting airport security decide the fate of her most prized possession, she would just drink it all before boarding. She reportedly “sat down in a corner and drank the entire bottle of Cognac by herself.”
Most people would think that would be the end of it. She finished her liquor, so now she could board her flight and head home, right? Wrong — Miss Zhao began “acting wildly and yelling incoherently.” She clearly just could not handle her liquor. The police arrived on the scene and did not allow her to board her flight. Her family was requested to pick her up from the airport.
