Texas Veterinarian Fired After Facebooking Picture Of Cat She Killed

A Texas veterinarian that had a good reputation before this weekend was fired on Friday after she posted a picture on Facebook of herself holding a cat with an arrow through its head. Along with the picture was the caption, “My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s head! Vet of the year award … Gladly accepted.” The problem, according to Huffington Post, is that the cat wasn’t feral after all.

It turns out that the cat was actually a neighborhood pet of an elderly couple named Tiger. Tiger had gone missing just hours before this picture was posted, with the owners actively looking for their pet. The veterinarian was reportedly fired after the picture went viral, with the local sheriff’s department looking into whether or not Kristen Lindsey will be faced with animal cruelty charges for killing the cat and displaying it on Social Media.
