Oscar Winner Natalie Portman Lands Another Important Historical Role


Soon-to-be 34-year-old Natalie Portman, who won an Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal of a mentally distressed prima ballerina in Black Swan, has been keeping herself busy since winning the most prestigious award in the film acting world. She not only starred in but directed A Tale of Love and Darkness, a film based on the memoir of Amos Oz and his life in the middle of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Recently, it was announced that she would be starring in a biopic on Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg‘s early schooling and career. Now it seems she has another big role to add to her plate.

Portman will be taking on the guise of famous First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. She will be starring in an adaption of the Pablo Lorrain’s Jackie, which chronicles the four days after the assassination of her husband, President John F. Kennedy. The movie hasn’t even been put into its beginning stages and there’s already talk about the Oscars.
