Man Named Santa Claus Runs For Office In North Pole, Alaska
Santa Claus has decided to run for city council. In the Alaskan town ‘North Pole’, a man whose legal name is Santa Claus has decided to run for a seat on the City Council. According to various news outlets, the man named Santa Claus is one of two candidates that have decided to launch write-in campaigns for office. La Nae Bellamy is the other write-in candidate.
There are only two seats available for election at the City Council this year. However, no one has filed for office during the regular filing time period.
Santa Claus’ driver license states that Claus is indeed his legal name. The man was recently the former president of the North Pole Chamber of Commerce. Hopefully Claus will be able to win the election or else someone will be getting a lump of coal for Christmas.
