Fight Over Cold Chicken Leads To Shooting
While serving a meal during a benefit dinner in Channelview, two women were nearly killed over chicken. Harris County deputies say this is one of the stranger cases they have ever worked on, but they are definitely going to figure it out.
A family, who had just lost one member, decided to host a barbecue to raise money for the funeral. The group set up their little get-together at their Woodforest Boulevard home. The neighbor next door was the first customer, but they weren’t overly happy with the chicken. The man said the food was cold, and he ended up in a bad mood.
The next day, the same neighbor came back to their house, punched one of the children in the face, claiming that somebody had threw chicken into his yard. The man then pulled a gun, firing into the air before turning it on the people. One of the family members was shot in the foot, while the mother was shot in the leg; twice. The neighbor is still on the run, however has a warrant out for his arrest.
