Bride Leaves Groom At The Altar After He Fails Math Quiz
An Indian bride recently left her groom at the altar after he failed to solve a simple math quiz. The bride asked the groom what 15 plus 6 was, he answered 17. She walked away from the groom and the entire wedding ceremony.
The wedding ceremony was held on Wednesday night at Rasoolabad Village, near the town of Kanpur in the northern state of Utar Pradesh. When asked why she decided to leave, the bride said the groom’s family misled them about his education. The groom’s family pleaded with the bride to continue with the wedding, but she declined. The bride’s father, Mohar Singh said that the groom’s family lied about their son’s poor education. If a first grader could solve the math question, he should be able to do so as well.
The local police officers were able to mediate between the two families and both sides returned all of the jewelry and gifts that were exchanged before the wedding.
