Woman Finds Used Vomit Bag On Flight From Hawaii To California


If you’re someone who has traveled on airlines long enough, it’s a safe bet that you’ve noticed the nice little folded up bags that are in front of you in your seat backs. These bags are there in case you start feeling sick. While there are plenty of people who get through a flight without having to use one, every so often you see or hear someone deciding they need to go when they can’t get up. One woman who was recently flying from Hawaii to California was unlucky enough to run across a used sick bag, filled to the brim with vomit.

I’ve seen and dealt with a lot of gross things,” Janet Masters said. “Here’s someone’s bodily fluids that I’m being exposed to.” Masters also says that when she found the bag, wrapped in a blanket and tucked into the pouch in front of her, and handed it to an attendant, some of the puke spilled out and got on her and her husband.

The Masters’ claim that even though they changed seats, the smell stuck with them for the entire flight. While the airline had offered the couple a $300 voucher towards their next flight, Masters said that she had “lost a lot of faith and trust with the airline.
