59 Year-Old Man Shot In Groin Because He Wouldn’t Share Potato Chips
A man has been shot in Detroit after refusing to give his potato chips to another man. Police from the city confirmed the victim was walking home while eating a bag of potato chips when a man approached him and demanded that he hand over the chips. The stranger then grabbed the food from the victim after he refused before they were taken back, leading to the gunman pulling out a gun and shooting the 59-year-old man.
“The suspect produced a weapon, shot him and fled the scene,” a police representative said in a statement. The police also confirmed that the gunman also made off with the potato chips, leaving the victim seriously injured outside of a McDonald’s restaurant.
The 59-year-old victim was rushed to hospital after the incident and is being treated for his injuries. According to reports, he is in a stable condition and expected to make a full recovery. Police have begun to search for the suspect and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
