School Principal In Hot Water After Performing In Rap Video

An assistant principal in a New York high school is currently in deep trouble after she ‘accidentally’ appeared in a rap video where twerking, booze, and a huge pool party were present.

The principal, Esther Adler-O’Keefe, is an assistant to the main principal at Southampton High School. Her performance within the video caused a bit of stir amongst her students, most of whom had seen the video by rapper J.R. The music video in question was for the track Best Friend, which featured renowned R&B artist Trey Songz.

In the music video Adler-O’Keefe plays the role of a naive homeowner who entrusts the rapper to house-sit her property. The man, of course, throws a massive pool party instead. Twerking then ensues. The school, obviously, wasn’t too happy about her participation. Superintendent Scott Farina said:

It has recently come to our attention that a member of our administrative staff appeared in a music video. The video in question showcases behaviors and language use that is not promoted by the Southampton School District. In fact, we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices. Additionally, this is not representative of who we are as a district nor of our students and staff. As this is a matter of personnel, the district cannot legally comment further on this incident.

Speaking with the Southampton Press, Adler-O’Keefe said: “Had I known of such content or lyrics, I certainly would not have participated in any fashion. I find the lyrics and content of the music video vulgar, offensive, and demeaning.”
